While Trustpilot was primarily used by Angela Reed as a social proof tool to gain online traction with first-time buyers, it was underutilised when it came to influencing organic and paid search. Spec Digital came into play – combining trust signals with a well-thought-out performance strategy. 

To begin, Spec ran an A/B test on Angela Reed’s Shopify store. Version A acted as the control with no changes, while Version B introduced carefully selected Trustpilot widgets. 

By looking at how new and returning visitors from different channels behaved on landing pages, Spec could identify exactly where Trustpilot content would best improve revenue throughout the Angela Reed customer journey.

Now, TrustBox widgets are displayed throughout the website and on Angela Reed’s homepage in a carousel format. This carousel shows the latest reviews, reviews by star rating, favourite reviews, or reviews filtered by tag.
