Trustpilot is seeking a VP Product Design & Research to lead the company's product design and research function to help Trustpilot remain a leader in the reviews space for both businesses and consumers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading product design, design systems, user research, and UX writing and a deep understanding of how design can drive business goals. You will report to the Chief Product Officer, and manage a distributed team in London, Edinburgh and Copenhagen. 

In the role you will:

  • Lead a team of a world-class team of product designers, UX researchers and UX writers to develop and execute the company's product design strategy and vision.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that design decisions are aligned with business goals and user needs.
  • Drive user research efforts to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain design systems, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all products and platforms.
  • Foster a culture of design thinking, experimentation, and continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and improve the user experience.
  • Be a people person to lead, grow and develop a talented team of professionals including career planning, performance management and coaching to help every team member be their very best.
  • Work with varied stakeholders from internal leaders to external clients and partners to gain insight and inspiration for future innovation.
  • Foster an environment of inclusivity in all of its forms.

We are looking for people with:

  • 10+ years of experience in product design and user research, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, and the ability to apply them to complex problems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with design thinking methodologies, user research techniques, and design tools such as Figma, Miro and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading design and research initiatives that have driven business impact and improved user satisfaction.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field.

  • Remain results-oriented, holding yourself and your team members accountable for achieving agreed goals
